Western Union abandons Cote d’Ivoire

For months now, Western Union has suspended all money transfers to the Ivory Coast, even as they maintain operations amidst open warfare in Libya. Hopefully now that the Ivoirian Central Bank (BCEAO) has re-opened, Western Union will act quickly to re-open their vital, if monopolistic, services to the struggling people of Abidjan! A decent corporate citizen would err on the side of compassion here rather than profit, wouldn’t they?
